Comrade Rosalba is a member of the Partito dei CARC and chief editor of the Vigilanza Democratica website. Together with colleagues in the editorial team, they stand accused of ´defaming´ police agents of the VII Reparto Mobile of Bologna.

COMMENT: The news story is excellent, except for the reference to 217 NPA surrenderees.

But the new story errs in casually stating that 217 New People’s Army (NPA) surrenderees were hosted by Duterte last Wednesday night in Malacanang and even the NPA women surrenderees applauded Duterte´s incitement to his armed minions to shoot NPA women members in the vagina.

COMMENT OF PROF. JOSE MARIA SISON AS TEACHER OF RIZAL´S LIFE AND WORKS

Dr. Jose Rizal was martyred and died a hero for his writings against Spanish colonialism and for being held by the colonial authorities accountable for the outbreak of the Philippine Revolution of 1896. In comparison, Duterte is now being investigated under the authority of the International Criminal Court on the charge of mass murder, butchering thousands of his impoverished countrymen either suspected or simply maligned as drug users and pushers.

WE SUPPORT THE PEACEFUL REUNIFICATION OF KOREA, WE DEMAND US WITHDRAWAL AND END TO THE STATE OF WAR

At the meeting, which lasted 11 hours, the delegations from the divided country agreed on the participation of athletes from the DPRK in the Winter Olympics. They also discussed other issues related to improving relations such as the possible reunification of families separated by the Korean War. The parties also agreed to hold talks between army officials to discuss ways to avoid dangerous military incidents.

JMS comment on Duterte signing Free Irrigation Service Act

While there is no genuine land reform, the landlord class and plantation companies are ultimately the main beneficiary of free irrigation

COMMENT OF PROF. JOSE MARIA SISON

Three important points are proven by Duterte´s surrender of the sovereign rights of the Philippines and Filipino people to China

CLARIFICATION FROM PROF. JOSE MARIA SISON

I am quite different from Duterte who violates the JASIG and boasts of his brutal and bloodthirsty character by threatening to kill 5 NPA suspects (male or female) for every AFP soldier killed in battle. In fact, Duterte´s armed minions have run amuck by killing so many people on mere suspicion or sheer malice under Oplan Kapayapaan, Oplan Tokhang and Operation: Pacific Eagle-Philippines.

The Duterte regime has plenty of money from increased taxation and foreign loans

The Duterte regime has plenty of money from increased taxation and foreign loans for buying military equipment and raising the salaries of military and police but little or no money for expanding essential social services and carrying out national industrialization and genuine land reform to effect economic development, address the roots of the armed conflict and lay the basis for a just and lasting peace. Duterte is unwittingly generating the conditions for the advance of the people´s democratic revolution through accelerated people´s war.

ILPS Condemns the Murder of MST´s Marcinho

Marcinho’s murder outside of his home in the Chapada Diamantina region, at the age of 34, in front of his son, and through three gunshot wounds in his head, is most revolting. It is the latest addition to the growing list of peasant leaders and activists in Brazil, many belonging to the progressive MST, who are being murdered for fighting for land, life and justice for the landless.

RESPECT THE ROHINGYA PEOPLE´S RIGHT TO SELF-DETERMINATION, END THEIR OPPRESSION AND FOREIGN INTERVENTION IN MYANMAR

The Rohingyas have long faced systematic military repression under the social-fascist (socialist in words, fascist in deeds) dictatorship of Ne Win (1962-88) and again after the 1988 uprising with repeated military crackdowns in 1991–1992, 2012, 2015 and 2016–2017. Over the past 50 years, Burma’s military rulers have enabled state and large corporations to take over land and water supplies in what used to territory of the ancient Kingdom of Arakan before it was incorporated into Burma under British colonial rule.
