Communist Party of the Philippines founder Jose Maria Sison on Friday lashed back at President Rodrigo Duterte, saying that he does not need to prove himself to anyone in the arena of revolutionary struggle.

Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founder Jose Maria Sison on Friday said he would return to the Philippines on his own terms and not on the dictates of President Duterte.

“If deemed necessary by the revolutionary movement, I will return to the Philippines to fight the Duterte puppet regime of US imperialism,” Sison said in online interviews.

The “word war” between President Rodrigo Duterte and Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founder Jose Maria Sison continued Thursday, with the President daring the Netherlands-based rebel leader to return to the country and fight his war.
