The arrest followed after the homes of these activists were raided due to the absurd allegation of their involvement in a plot to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The simultaneous raids of Rao’s and other’s residences in multiple cities were the latest in a spate of crackdown by the Modi regime against activists and progressives.

We extend our sympathy and solidarity to President Maduro, to the people and government of Venezuela and support their strong determination to uphold national sovereignty, preserve the gains that have been achieved in carrying out patriotic and progressive social and economic programs and defend the country and the people against economic sabotage, violent provocations and threats of aggression and regime change by US imperialism and its stooges.

French convicts were shipped to New Caledonia including thousands of communards after the defeat of the Paris Commune in 1871, among them Louise Michel who later on worked with the indigenous Kanak people to fight for liberation from French colonial rule even after the communards were granted general amnesty in 1879.

Since the beginning of the work of the union communist reconstruction, we strive in the work of solidarity to the struggle of the Filipino people, which has been waging a popular war directed by the communist party of the Philippines since the late 60’s on the continuation of the revolutionary struggle in the Philippines based clearly on the principles of proletarian internationalism and anti-imperialist international solidarity.

We are deeply saddened by the terrible humanitarian crisis that continues to afflict millions of Yemenis as a result of the war of aggression. The study of Marxism is indispensable for understanding the current status and crisis of global capitalism. It was Marx who first uncovered systematically the laws of motion of capitalism, how the capitalist class extracts surplus value from the working class in the process of social production, over-accumulates capital and shrinks the wage fund and thereby creates the crisis of overproduction relative to the purchasing power of the working people.
