In the name of the International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS), I welcome all who are now gathered under the banner of “Solidarity and Fightback: Building Resistance to US-led War, Militarism and Neo-fascism”.

Duterte’s tirades against Prof. Jose Ma. Sison are a vain attempt to derogate a giant of a revolutionary intellectual and leader. In relentlessly attacking Ka Joma, Duterte is overcompensating for his drug-shrivelled and power-intoxicated brain. He has completely embraced the counterrevolutionary anti-communist US line and abandoned all pretensions for being a Leftist.

The tax collected by the revolutionary government is very small compared to that collected by the reactionary government but is used mainly for the social and economic programs of the people and secondarily for administration by cadres and for the maintenance and expansion of the New People’s Army.
