„Solidarität mit dir gegen die antikommunistische Hetzkampagne und gegen die gefährlichen Drohungen, die das protofaschistische Duterte-Regime gegen dich ausgestoßen hat“ – unter dieser Überschrift hat das Zentralkomitee der MLPD eine Solidaritätserklärung für den Gründungsvorsitzenden der Kommunistischen Partei der Philippinen, José Maria Sison, verfasst:

The Dutch Police warned Prof. Sison that they received reports of new threats to his security

“Any threats against Professor Sison or any member of the NDFP peace panel is certain to derail any resumption of the peace talks,”

That the Dutch police went to visit ‘Joma’ last week and warn him to take precautionary measures indicates that the Dutch authorities have become aware of and are taking seriously the threats against ‘Joma’.

“Last Friday, March 7, the Utrecht police came to my residence around 12:30 p.m. and talked to Julie and me first about a forthcoming March 10 demonstration against me in The Hague and to take precautionary measures at home and wherever I go because there are threats against my personal safety.

According to Sison, the Dutch Police did not give any names of those plotting the latest threats against him but has advised him to take precautionary measures inside his residence and when going out. The police also informed him of a rally against him to be held in The Hague.

I think that formal peace talks can be resumed by reaffirming the aforesaid joint agreements, removing those obstacles that terminate and prejudice serious peace negotiations
